We hire out kits of reusable nappies to families interested in getting started with reusable nappies, from birth or later. We also offer support and advice throughout the loan period to get everyone off to the best start.

Yes! We believe reusable nappies should be accessible to everyone, and that's why we created our Long Term Loan kit. This kit is made up of older style nappies, that aren't available anymore in the shops and that we therefore don't include in our other nappy kits.
You can hire these for as long as you like, for a suggestion donation of £5 or more.
Using Nappies
In your nappy kit, we provide a wet bag to put dirty nappies in until you put them in the wash. You can keep this wherever you like; common places are near the washing machine or in the room.
When you have your own nappies, you could use a nappy bucket (or 'pail') to store the dirty nappies. It is more common to dry pail than wet pail (aka soaking them) nowadays and doesn't impact the nappies' performance at all.
We recommend:
• a wet bag for dirty nappies
• spare dry nappies (already made up if using pockets/2 parters)
• spare clothes (don't forget vest extenders if using!)
• wipes. If you're using reusables, you can keep them already wet in a wet bag and then pop them in the dirty wetbag with the nappies.

Buying Nappies
Definitely! Whatever works for you. We hear a lot of "can I use this insert with this nappy" and things like that and it's important to remember that if it works for you, then it's fine.
The only thing we would say you're not 'allowed' to do is use bleach or fabric softener on your nappies as these will a) stop them working and b) void your warranty.
If you've been looking at buying nappies on Facebook or other secondhand places, you might be slightly mystified by all the abbreviations you've seen!
We're planning a blog post about this but for now here's a few to get you started:

BTP - Birth to Potty
